After the successful organization of the Daikin Designer Awards (DDA) in 2020, which coincided with the 50th anniversary of Daikin Indonesia, Daikin Proshop Indonesia once again held the second DDA, which took place from May 14 to October 28, 2022.

Ching Khim Huat, President Director of PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia, and Selvi Ani Yongnata, Manager of Daikin Proshop Indonesia, explained that this activity aims to give the highest appreciation to architects and interior designers for their best works while also providing insight into the importance of air conditioning. Air conditioning has so far been more widely known by the public as merely providing cool air. More than that, air conditioning also plays a role in perfecting air circulation by providing comfort, clean air, and supporting the beauty of residential design.

In collaboration with professional associations IAI Jakarta, HDII Jakarta, Magran Living, and Nava Park, the Daikin Designer Award 2022 will be judged by a panel consisting of:

1. Budi Pradono, IAI (IAI Jakarta)

2. Alex Bayu Saputro (HDII Jakarta)

3. Andry Mulyono (Magran Group)

4. Hiroaki Niikura (Daikin Japan)

5. Wengky Handono (Daikin Indonesia)

6. Kimberly Ryder (Guest judge, influencer, user)

Different from the first event, this years activity not only gives awards to architects and interior designers who have used Daikin Home Center in built residential designs, but also holds architectural and interior design competitions. The architectural competition is a conceptual design competition for a residential house for Kimberly Ryder and her family on a 300-400 square meter plot. Meanwhile, the interior design competition is a conceptual interior design competition for Kimberly Ryders house located in the Nava Park cluster, Tangerang.
